Located about seven miles to the NorthWest of Manchester city centre, Radcliffe is almost the end of the line for the Metrolink.  Journey time to Manchester city centre is around 25 minutes.  There are also numerous local buses and excellent road links.

Modern Radcliffe is essentially a commuter town for Manchester. Families like it because it has plenty of high-quality primary schools. Secondary students currently have to commute, mostly to Bury.  There are, however, plans to build a new secondary school in Radcliffe itself.
