Location Overview

Located around 12 miles to the North West of Manchester city centre, Bolton misses out on the Metrolink but has an excellent local rail service to make up for it.  Journey time to Manchester city centre is around 20 minutes.  There are also plenty of local buses and extensive road links.

The efficient transport links mean that Bolton is popular with people who work in Manchester.  There is, however, also demand from people who work in Bolton itself.  Although Bolton’s manufacturing sector has long been in decline, the service sector has been growing.  There is also a local university, hence demand from students.

Bolton is a busy and diverse town surrounded by popular residential areas. It’s got everything a family could need, including a great choice of schools, several parks to choose from, and plenty of entertainment and social activities.

With impressive links to the M61, train travel, and Manchester airport, Bolton is a great place to live, raise a family, and commute from.
